"SHE NEVER HAD A SMILE BUT CRAVED THAT FOR OTHERS".

Gender distinction is a social evil that is common in our society. A baby is born to witness the unrealistic world unknowingly confronting the trials and tribulations day in and day out.  When she grows, she feels ambiguous standing at the crossroads being unable to choose the path she has to tread on. At this juncture, she is stuffed with ambivalent feelings. However, she is sheltered under the protective canopy of her parents.  Her scholastic days also meet with unexpected instances which stand like the other side of reality.
She comes across both sorts of people: Serene Souls and Snakes in the Grass.  At length, she realizes what appears to be true is a mirage. Consequently, she also realizes that being humble and honest in the world of materialism fetches emptiness.
After stumbling on the stereotyped orthodox obstacles, the grown-up girl is fed up with the lifestyle of the fair-weather friends.  She makes up her mind to be away from the evil eye.  Abruptly and reluctantly a truth strikes her mind that her being a girl is a bane, not a boon. This enlightened idea instructs her to make her personality a fusion of all sentiments and strengths. The gender disparity enables her to be equipped with all cannons so that she could face varied and various challenges of life.
With the result, her innocent stage of life is fortified. She does not expect any miracle to happen. The constructive encouragement and moral support of her empathetic parents prove defensive for her.
She feels that her stature is grown to the extent that the sky is the limit. Now she is fully aware of the fact that life is a chapter of untold incidents, accepting the truth that she has myriad miles to go through the labyrinth of life.
The next step takes her to the family full of unfamiliar faces. She has to get herself adapted in the "So-called Home".  It is her pitiable plight that she lives with her in-laws like a stranger. Her bitter experiences finally force her to cater to their needs. She tries hard to showcases series of smiles.
Even a thesaurus fails to illustrate the predicament of such girls who fall a victim to gender disparity. The efforts put forth by any political party, Women's Associations or feministic writings have not been able to bring about an iota of a positive change in her life. Their service is limited only to slogans, banners and news items and nothing else. I feel regretful to say that in this discriminating social set-up people forget that she is the source of Genesis.
I feel fortunate enough that I do not belong to that category of the girlhood but I feel thorns pricking me when I ponder over the plight of those girls who have fallen prey to our narrow-minded society.
